Introduction
The Website Design Competition was organised as a part of TECHFEST 2026 with the objective of encouraging creativity, innovation, and practical application of web technologies among students. The competition provided a dynamic platform for participants to showcase their skills in designing visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites aligned with current industry standards.
Objectives of the Competition
- To enhance students’ knowledge of web design and development tools.
- To promote creativity and innovative thinking in website layout and functionality.
- To provide hands-on experience in real-world web design scenarios.
- To encourage teamwork and problem-solving skills among participants.

Rules and Guidelines
- Participants should think creatively about how to express the theme through visual design, content, and functionality.
- A website must be responsive and compatible with multiple devices.
- Participants may use any web development tools and languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).

- Design a website that reflects the chosen theme, utilising modern web design principles and technologies. support
- Include text, images, and interactive elements that fit the theme and enhance user experience.
- Focus on creativity, usability, and visual appeal.
- Ensure the website is easy to navigate and accessible to users.
- The content should be original and relevant to the theme.
- The best website will be awarded as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner.
- The internet will be allowed to be accessed during the competition.
- Participants could participate individually or in teams (maximum 2–3 members per team).
- The website had to be designed within the given time limit.
- Participants were allowed to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other permitted frameworks.
- The website theme/problem statement was provided on the spot.
- Any form of plagiarism was strictly prohibited.
Evaluation Criteria
The websites were evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and Originality
- User Experience
- Visual Design
- Technical Execution
- Adherence to Theme
