  Introduction:

“Design the Deck – PPT Design Competition” was organized as part of     TECHFEST 2026 to enhance students’ creativity, presentation skills, and design thinking.Unlike traditional competitions, no specific theme was assigned. Participants were given complete freedom to choose their own topic and design concept. This encouraged originality, innovation, and independent thinking.

  • To develop independent thinking and topic selection skills
  • To enhance PowerPoint designing techniques
  • To improve presentation and public speaking skills
  • To promote confidence and innovation
 

Event Description:

 

The Design the Deck – PPT Design Competition, a highlight of TECHFEST 2026, served as an excellent platform to hone students' presentation and design proficiencies.

Uniquely, the competition embraced an open-format structure, granting participants complete liberty to choose their own themes. This freedom encouraged a display of originality, independent thought, and innovation, as students developed PowerPoint presentations based on their personal interests, ideas, and creativity.

A total of 16 students actively participated, presenting a diverse array of topics that spanned from complex technical concepts to crucial social awareness issues and novel ideas. The event successfully fostered an engaging and competitive atmosphere, enabling students to confidently showcase their individual talents.

The judging criteria were comprehensive, focusing on creativity, clarity of content, visual appeal (slide aesthetics and use of visuals), effective organization of ideas, and overall presentation delivery, all within a specified time limit.

In essence, the competition was a success, providing a significant opportunity for students to demonstrate their combined creativity, technical knowledge, and essential communication skills.
