The Faculty of Computer Application, Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies, successfully organized a one-day student-led workshop on "Literacy Drive for Digital India" aimed at enhancing digital awareness and capabilities among participants. The workshop was designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of India’s digital initiatives, practical skills for using digital services, and increased confidence in leveraging technology safely and effectively.

The event was welcomed and coordinated by the organizing team of students, who provided a structured agenda and highlighted the objectives of the workshop.

Resource Persons: The workshop was conducted by the student experts Deep Prajapati, Daksh Vasani, and Ayush Thakkar, who shared their knowledge and practical insights on various aspects of Digital India, including UPI, Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and the Student Startup Innovation Policy (SSIP).

Workshop Highlights:

  • UPI: Redefining Payments in India – Explained instant, 24/7 payments, security measures, and its role in promoting a cashless economy.
  • Aadhaar: The World’s Largest Digital Identity System – Discussed unique identification, biometric verification, and its importance in welfare schemes.
  • DigiLocker: A Paperless Future – Shared how digital documents improve governance and reduce paperwork.
  • SSIP: Nurturing Innovation and Startups – Highlighted support for student entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Cyber Awareness – Addressed risks of cyber scams and best practices for secure digital usage.
 

Key Outcomes:
