Dr. Rutvi Shah is a highly accomplished academician dedicated to advancing computer science education and research. With over 20 years of experience in academia, she is a strong advocate of integrated and multi-disciplinary learning. She has effectively implemented the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education model to promote a holistic and practical approach to teaching.

Dr. Shah is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing Studies at Ganpat University, Gujarat, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Applications. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Gujarat University and a PhD in Computer Science from Gujarat Technological University, with her research focused on Automated Systems for Medical Image Processing. Her research interests span Healthcare Bioinformatics, Smart Healthcare Systems, AI/ML, Security and Ethics in AI, Human-Computer Vision (HCI), Data Science, and related domains.

She has authored 25+ research publications, published in reputed conferences and journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as book chapters in Springer and Elsevier publications. She has received Best Paper Award at IEEE International conference and holds Awarded Patent for her research work.

Dr. Shah is actively engaged in the broader academic and research community. She hosts sessions on trending research areas, serves on the board of numerous national and international conferences, and contributes as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. She also plays a vital role in guiding research scholars as an RPC Member at various reputed Universities. In addition to her scholarly activities, Dr. Shah is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops, sharing her expertise on emerging trends and technologies. She is also a sought-after expert for talk shows on TV channels and has judged numerous national and international programming competitions and hackathons.

Dr. Shah's commitment to the field extends to her leadership in professional organisations. She is currently the Chairperson of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) India Women Committee (2023-2025), where she leads initiatives to advocate and empower women in technology across the country. As a senior member of ACM community, she has served on various leadership roles and has been pivotal in organising conferences, workshops, and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in technology.

Beyond academia, Dr. Shah is deeply engaged in community service. Dr. Shah is also a Professional Member of Rotary International Foundation and has been recognised with the 'Outstanding New Rotarian Award 2022' for her selfless service to the community. She is currently serving as the Community Service Project Director at Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Metro.
